About Us...



We are a small independent breeder, the benefits of which are:

• we are breeding huacaya alpacas for quality, not quantity.

• we know our animals - their names and individual characters and keep up to date detailed computerised records.

• we have time to work with all the alpacas individually: to halter train and get them used to handling and husbandry chores.

• we can more easily fulfill a client's needs by matching an alpaca to their requirements.

Our halter training methods incorporate the Camelidynamics training technique. We believe this is the kindest way to work with alpacas effectively, and builds a trust between animal and handler.

All of our alpacas have their pedigree registered with the British Alpaca Society and all are microchipped for security and identification.

In order to provide clients with a truly comprehensive service, we have formed an alliance with other local small breeders. If Fairplace cannot provide the stock you require, then it is very likely one of our partners can. The collective experience of breeding, husbandry and health care allows us to give clients extra confidence and reassurance in after-sales support.
